Overview
URLs Watchdog ("the Extension") is a browser extension developed by Praseen Mopal that monitors website and API availability. This privacy policy explains how the Extension handles your data.

No personal information is collected
No browsing history is tracked
No analytics or telemetry data is sent
No data is transmitted to external servers
No cookies are used for tracking
No third-party services receive your data
What the Extension Stores Locally
The Extension stores the following data locally in your browser using IndexedDB:
URL Configurations
URLs you add for monitoring
URL names and custom icons
Check intervals and settings
Notes you add to URLs
Organization Data
Project names
Category names
Hierarchical structure
Monitoring Logs
HTTP status codes received
Response times
Timestamps of checks
Error messages (if any)
User Preferences
Theme selection (dark/light)
Alert settings
Sidebar state
All this data remains on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
How Data is Used
Your locally stored data is used solely to:
Display your monitoring dashboard
Perform scheduled health checks on URLs you specify
Show notifications when URLs become unreachable (if enabled)
Generate statistics about your monitored URLs
Data Sharing
We do not share any data. Since all data is stored locally in your browser:
No data is sent to our servers (we don't have any)
No data is shared with third parties
No data is used for advertising
No data is sold or monetized
Network Requests
The Extension makes HTTP requests only to:
URLs that you explicitly add for monitoring
These requests are standard GET requests to check availability
No data about you or your browsing is included in these requests

Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
Access: View all your data in the Extension dashboard
Export: Download all your data as JSON anytime
Delete: Remove individual URLs or clear all data
Portability: Import/export data between browsers
Children's Privacy
The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Open Source
URLs Watchdog is designed with privacy as a core principle. The extension operates entirely offline (except for the health check requests you configure).
