Data Collection
We do NOT collect any data.
The Extension:
- Does NOT collect personal information
- Does NOT track your browsing activity
- Does NOT send any data to external servers
- Does NOT use analytics or tracking tools
- Does NOT require an account or login
- Does NOT store any data outside your browser
How the Extension Works
All processing happens locally on your device:
- You type text into the extension
- The text is converted to phonetic words using JavaScript running in your browser
- Results are displayed immediately
- When you close the extension, the text is cleared
Data Storage
The Extension stores only your preferences locally in your browser:
- Theme preference (light/dark mode)
- Alphabet style preference (NATO/Simple)
- Auto-copy preference (on/off)
This data is stored using Chrome's localStorage API and never leaves your device.
Permissions
The Extension requests minimal permissions:
- clipboardWrite: To copy phonetic output to your clipboard when you click the copy button
Third-Party Services
The Extension does NOT use any third-party services, APIs, or external resources.
Children's Privacy
The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date.
